The summer of 2026 saw a series of significant developments surrounding the European Union’s AI regulations. On July 27, the “AI Digital Omnibus,” which simplifies and adjusts the implementation of the EU AI Act, entered into force. This was followed on August 2 by the general application of the transparency obligations under Article 50 of the AI Act.
