TOKYO, January 9, 2024: Akiko Araki, Managing Partner of Araki International IP&Law reviews the firm’s performance during the last year, and explains the firm’s vision for the year of 2024.
We Araki International IP&Law (“Araki International”) would like to thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the year of 2023. In the summer of 2021, Araki International was launched to create a cutting-edge, full-service law firm in the cross-border area to support people and companies relating to Japanese market.
Last year was an important year for us, as we took significant steps toward realizing this vision.
First of all, last year, in the area of Intellectual Property (IP), our firm supported clients in cross-border patent transaction and dispute resolutions including high-profile delas of global portfolio licensing and IP acquisition. These achievements have been highly recognized in the multiple IP and legal rankings by international medias. Outside of the IP area, we have also had many opportunities to assist clients in the areas of IT, technology, regulatory, labor, and dispute resolution.
In the past year, we have also worked to build our organization with the aim of providing stable services to our clients from the long-term perspective. Specifically, we instolled our organizational philosophy and code of conduct within our team, and standardized operations within the firm in cooperation with our staff team. In addition, we made diligent efforts to hire attorneys and other professional personnel.
Based on the solid foundation we laid last year, we intend to make further progress during this year to realize our vision.
First, this year, we will further strengthen our expertise in the IP area, and work to provide higher quality services to our clients, including IP transactions such as licensing and various collaborative deals. Also. we will continue to provide services in a variety of legal areas to help our clients succeed in the Japanese market.
Secondly, we will steadily strengthen our organizational infrastructure and plan to gradually reinforce our team, while focusing on the quality of our practice and the unity of our team. This will promote the sharing of knowledge and collaboration within the firm and further expand our business scope to be a leading full-service firm in the cross-border area.
Araki International will strive to work for Japanese and global marketplace during the year of 2024. We look forward to working and collaborating with all of our clients, colleagues and friends.
Sincerely,
Akiko Araki
